Christmas Boxes

Good Morning to all my lovely friends and  followers. I hope you are all coping with the Christmas preparations. I'm just about there have a couple of last minute food things to  get and  some wrapping then I'm done.
Todays post is of some Christmas Boxes I made a few weeks ago. I couldn't post them until now as they were for some of my friends my husband calls the Golden Girls and they do sometimes look at my blog. I was out yesterday for lunch with them all and  these were the little gifts I took. We all take something small with our cards to share over lunch. We had a great afternoon at Wynyard Hall so festive and a beautiful pianist played the whole time we were there, the food was excellent as it always is there. Fantastic service, staff, and great company with my lovely friends.

These are the boxes. I bought the templates from Whichcraft at the GNPE and decorated them with Pion papers. They came out really well and I filled them with some sweeties and a small gift.

Silver Christmas Candle

Hi to all my friends and followers  so sorry its been ages since I posted anything been busy with the usual Christmas stuff and have not had time for any crafting at all. The post today is one of my Christmas candles that I made at my Craft Group last Thursday. I led the class and people made candles similar to mine and some to their own designs they all enjoyed making them and they were all stunning.
This is the one I made its silver so a bit different. Hope you enjoy looking at and  it gets you in the mood for next week.

I personally like the silver think its a bit more modern.

Candle Recipe

Candle from Homebase my Tesco had run out.
Silver Snowflake parchment paper.
Spellbinders Poinsettia die
Leaves and  Berries from my stash
Narrow tinsel from local craft store Boyes
Spellbinders scalloped circle die

Before I finish I just want to ask you all to remember my very best friend Ed in your thoughts and  prayers he is very very poorly right now and  needs as much support as we can give to him and his wife Val. Amazingly they have been going out together for 50 years today and married for 43.  I've told them its four life sentences but what an achievement to still remember the exact day after 50 years . I love them both so much.
This will not be my last post before Christmas I have a couple more I hope.
I hope you all enjoy your evening and are sitting back relaxing  if you are  like me its a dream as I  still have loads to do before next week.

Christmas Cross Stitch

Good Morning to all my friends and followers . I hope everyone is OK this is a very tiring time of year with lots of things to get organised. I'm going to start my decorations today. I'm a bit over the top with them as anyone who has visited my home knows but  I do enjoy this part of Christmas so I do it every year.
Anyway now for my post this post is a bit different before I got into card making about 4year ago my main craft was cross stitch. This year I've made these two banners for my Daughter in Law Fiona. They are from a Shepherds Bush pattern. There are four patterns in the series and I did the other two last year.

Cross Stitch Recipe

Pattern Shepherds Bush from Wye Needlecraft Bakewell
Stitched with DMC Perle 5
Hangers from Sew and Sew
Buttons from Wye Needlecraft a bit pricey they are from America and are £5.50 each !! Never mind I think they are gorgeous and  well worth the money.

I hope you  enjoy this different post not had much time for card making this last week and still have a lot of jobs to do ( like my Christmas Cards) before I get back to it.

Going for my tree to the garden centre near us either today or in the morning I always enjoy that must remember to take my thick gloves as I usually forget them !

I also want to  tell you  all that I won Crafty Little Fairies Challenge last week with my card My Little Tree wasn't I lucky and I now have a £10 voucher to spend at My Crafty Heart. I'm so proud of my winners banner on my sidebar.

Have a great Sunday and hope you find time to do some nice things.
