Blue and Yellow Flowers

This is a stepper card I have just made for a commission its for a 60th birthday. My friend who has asked for it asked for flowers. This is a LOTV stamp and I decided rather than use Promarkers and Copic pens as usual but to colour it with distress ink markers. I really enjoyed colouring the flowers and I think the design is suited to  water colours . The colour scheme works well and I always think these stepper cards look so special .

As its for a special birthday I have boxed the card and this is the decorated box

A Lovely gift and Beautiful Card

Hi everyone just had to put this card on my blog. I also blog on a site called Docrafts and I commented on some fabulous vintage cards from a lovely lady called Jennie .I asked about the vintage images and she has very kindly sent me a CD of the images she uses. The CD arrived in one of her glorious cards and I just wanted to share it with you all as its so  pretty.

I'm really looking forward to playing with the images to produce some of these stunning vintage cards.
Some good news today as well our best friend Ed has been very poorly over the last few weeks and got his op today and he is back from theatre. Hope this is the start of some great treatment for him. I think the world of both Ed and my best friend Val. The prayers have worked.
Enjoy your week

White Stitched Card

This is an idea I had to do the stitching in white on this pretty stitching design. I've done lots of these stitched cards but never one in white. The design is Fuchsia Flowers and the design for the rest of the card was inspired by the all white card I made recently for my daughter in law  Fiona which was my first all white card and as she loved it I thought I would do another all white card. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I haven't decorated the centre yet as I've not decided who to send it to yet.

Card Recipe

Hope you enjoy looking at the stitched card and all enjoy a great weekend. I've got nothing planned at the moment but do need to do the dreaded grocery shop at some point. I also plan to do some crafting just finishing off a couple of commissioned cards for friends.

"Beach Huts" Martin's 35th Birthday Card

It was my son Martin's birthday on Thursday he was 35 I don't know where the years have gone only seems like yesterday that he was born. The day he was born was an equally hot day. My husband got a dress for me to wear and when I got to  hospital realised it wasn't ironed not my style at all but I did have my lipstick on. !!

I really love this Michael Powell stamp of the Beach Huts it always reminds me of those lovely seaside visits when you were a child and sitting eating chips out of a paper bag. I cut out some of the beach  huts to decorate the insert

A Beautiful Stitched Design

Good morning everyone hope you are enjoying a great weekend. Today I am showing you a card I started at my craft group a couple of week ago. It was led by my friend Carol and is a design she brought for us to use. Its a stunning design of flowers leaves and with  a lovely Thinking of  You sentiment.

I have mounted the card to match the lovely muted colours of lavender and willow green. I've sanded the edges to give a shabby chic effect. To finish I've added a flourish and some pearls to make a frame.

Card Recipe

Card Tim Holtz core dinations card from Strikes Garden Centre Craft Shop

She is brilliant at these stitched patterns.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and keep crafting.
