Baby Things

Good morning to all my lovely friends and  followers and a special welcome today to my new followers Jean and Jac I am so pleased you are following my blog and  I hope you continue to visit and enjoy my posts
My post today is to show you some things I have been making for our new Grandchild due in 7 weeks time. Our Son and  Daughter in Law have had an extremely difficult route to get to this stage and its is going to be a much wanted and loved baby for all of us. Its our first grandchild so we are very excited.
These are some things I have made for the baby

A Door Hanger for the Nursery

Door Hanger Recipe

MDF Door Hanger from the MDF man GNPE
Papers are the gorgeous Maja Design Vintage Baby pad from Live and Love Crafts
Stamp is LOTV Cosy Pram stamped and fussy cut its lightly coloured with  Derwenr Inktense Pencils
The images and  borders are from the pad.
Baby Charms I bought ages ago from a sewing shop in Grassington
Wood Baby letters are from Whitby Crafts
Heart Lace is from Dainty Crafts Washington
Letters from a Pion cut out sheet also Live and  Love Crafts
Resin Frame is Melissa Francis again from Live and  Love Crafts
I used the neutral colours to match their landing decor as we don't know the sex yet

Baby Shoes

 Baby Coat

Baby Shoes and  Coat Recipe

4 ply Baby Merino Wool I brought back from New Zealand its so soft and a lot cheaper than in England
Duck shaped buttons Boyes stores
Coat pattern is Patons but very very old
Baby Shoes are from an internet pattern

I have to say my knitting is a bit rusty its years since I made anything however it did bring back lots of happy memories as I knit this coat for my Son when I was expecting him 37 years ago!!.I must say I was delighted with those little shoes but the reason there are two pairs I knit two left feet first time around silly girl so we now have two pairs I knit two right feet second time .Its not long to go now so we are all hoping things go well for them in these last few weeks they will be amazing parents.

I hope you all have a great Bank Holiday weekend we are just relaxing after being away the last two weekends. I may go to Northallerton this afternoon as I need a water colour pad which I can get from The Art Shop there and you never know I might just go in The Craft shop and  Betty's as well !!
