Birthday Card for Ed and GNPE

Good morning hope you are all having a good weekend. Today I am posting a card I have made for our best friend Ed .It was his birthday last week and I made this card with an ice skating theme. When he retired he took this up as one of  his hobbies and I know how much he enjoyed doing it. He hasn't been too well lately but I am sure this reminds him of his ice skating and spur him on with his treatment and be able to get back on the ice

I really love this Marianne stamp and the banners. I struggled to find some ice skate charms tried lots of places but finally found some on a lovely site on eBay. I have spoken to Ed since his birthday and  know that he loved the card.

I also want to thank my craft group friends Carol for driving and Veronica and Joyce for their company thoroughly enjoyed the day. I also got to meet Anne from LOTV who runs the LOTV Ideas to Inspire Blog. She was lovely and the Blog is terrific. As always I loved watching some great demos from Barbara Gray

  1. Brilliant card Carole, love the stamp and your fab colouring. The bunting really finishes it off nicely. I was so pleased I got to meet you, I really enjoyed our chats as we kept meeting at different stands . I blew my budget completely and can still think of a few things I wish I'd bought! I'll have to start saving for the next show.
I hope the curtains go without a hitch and you enjoy your trip to Edinburgh. Love Debra xx
