I don't like the Bank Holidays much as everywhere is always so busy. I also need a hat for a Wedding in May so may try and get an appointment at the hire place I've used before. I'm also trying to get all my commissions done so I can get them out of the way before I need to start the Wedding invitations.
I'm out with my girlfriends tonight so that should be lovely its the first time this year we've all managed to get together. So lots of chat and glasses of wine I think.

This post has taken ages Blogger was really having an off day with my photos !!

Enjoy the weekend and  all that lovely chocolate and  goodies on Easter Sunday.

I'm entering this in Crafting by Designs Anything goes Challenge http://craftingbydesigns.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/april-anything-goes-challenge-continues.html

Now for todays card I stitched this beaded design at my Craft Group two weeks ago Hazel who led the class is a whizz with these beaded designs . I have now put the design into a Christmas Card. Stitched Christmas Card

Good Morning everyone and apologies for not posting sooner. I was away last week for a few days seeing our friends in London and went  last Thursday with my friend Val to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC in Birmingham . We had a great day but the festival was a little disappointing lots of stalls and displays but everything was very similar so it  was easy to get sick of looking. Still we both enjoyed it and managed to find some nice goodies. Now its just us finding the time to  play with them!! We also joined a class showing you how to applique a 30'sstyle butterfly. My first photo is of  the quilt the lady brought  we attempted one of the butterfly panels. It was a lovely quilt I'm unfortunately light years away from this standard but you have to start somewhere.

Now for my post this is a Christmas card I made last year it was stitched at my craft group. I did intend to send it to someone but  I loved it so much I kept it. I may send it this year who knows
It is very traditional colours and the stitched poinsettia is a lovely Christmas Design.

White Stitched Card

This is an idea I had to do the stitching in white on this pretty stitching design. I've done lots of these stitched cards but never one in white. The design is Fuchsia Flowers and the design for the rest of the card was inspired by the all white card I made recently for my daughter in law  Fiona which was my first all white card and as she loved it I thought I would do another all white card. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I haven't decorated the centre yet as I've not decided who to send it to yet.

A Beautiful Stitched Design

Good morning everyone hope you are enjoying a great weekend. Today I am showing you a card I started at my craft group a couple of week ago. It was led by my friend Carol and is a design she brought for us to use. Its a stunning design of flowers leaves and with  a lovely Thinking of  You sentiment.

I have mounted the card to match the lovely muted colours of lavender and willow green. I've sanded the edges to give a shabby chic effect. To finish I've added a flourish and some pearls to make a frame.
