Ice Cream

Good morning to mt crafty friends and  followers I hope that you are all well and have had a great week. My card today is one I have made specifically to enter into Live and  Love Crafts Challenge Ice Cream. I rarely make cards other than DT ones for this reason but just occasionally pop my cards into challenges if they fit the theme. However last year I won two brilliant Paper Nest Dolls stamps in a candy draw over at Tracy Payne's fabulous blog. I keep looking at them but never quite knew how to use them till I saw the challenge Ice Cream and thought perfect. Problem is I'm entering this only a couple of days before the challenge ends as  I've had lots of things on this month and a lot of DT stuff as well but I've made it . So enough of my waffling.
The stamp is called Roller Waitress Avery and  this is what I've made . A bit OTT even by my standards but it is Live and Love Crafts !!

Card Recipe

Flower Shape blank card
Papers Maja Design Spring Basics Live and  love Crafts
Pink paper from my stash
Stamp Paper Nest Dolls Roller Waitress Avery painted with distress inks
Spellbinder Floral Oval die
Joy Craft Butterfly border and butterfly die
Lace Whitby Crafts
Letters and  border are both from a Pion cut out sheet the letter one is from Live and Love Crafts
The sentiment the tag and kraft card words are cut from a My Minds Eye Scrapbook
Sheet Life Stories. The small ice cream cones are from the internet and  fussy cut..
Safety pin and Glitter Heart from my stash.
Wood fruit embellishment from The Works
Bead stems and  pink poppies Live and  Love Crafts they are fab
Roses Wild Orchid Crafts
Leaves from a Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl and  leaf die
Glitter bead string is from Crafty Ribbons
Shabby pink and Shabby blue Frantage lightly sprinkled on the image also from live and  love Crafts

Wow!! I think that's it rather a lot of bits on this one. I loved that glitter heart and the glitter bead stems they reminded me of that lovely glitter sugar topping you get on ice cream sometimes.

Well I hope you all have a fabulous weekend I just wish the weather would improve its been very poor here in the NE so cold for May .Hugs x

New Baby Girl

Good morning to all my lovely friends and  followers and a special welcome this sunny morning to my latest follower Karrie welcome to my Blog I hope that you enjoy my posts and  continue to visit my Blog.
My card today is a New Baby Girl card I made for my friend Margaret she had a new Grandchild while I was away on holiday. Her name is Fearne. The stamp I've used is LOTV Cosy Pram I bought this ages ago when it was released and have never had the opportunity to use it so I knew straight away what baby stamp I was going to make the card with. I've also another first on the card while I was in Florida I bought this Tim Holtz bracket die something I've been after for ages so its had its first outing on this card. The Tim Holtz dies are so much cheaper than in England especially if you have a 40% off coupon !!

Card Recipe

6x6 blank card Craftwork Cards
Edge cut with Tim Holtz Bracket die
Stamp LOTV Cosy Pram painted with Derwent Inktense Pencils
Papers Pion Studio of Memories Rose and Ocean Roses PD1904 from Live and  Love Crafts
Die Marianne Circle, leaf , and flower
Sentiments LOTV for you circular sentiments and sentiment tags.
Lace and ribbon from my stash.
Pearl trim from a haberdashery shop in Durham market ages ago.
Wood teddy button from Whitby Crafts
Flowers Wild orchid Craft and Boyes Stores
Letters from a Pion cut out sheet Live and Love Crafts
Card edges inked with Tattered Rose Distress Ink

I decorated the inside of the card with the same papers and  put the verse onto a  die cut to match the outside. I don't often do this as I usually add an insert of either linen or hammered paper but I did like the results of this technique.

Well got nothing planned especially for the weekend but I do have some jobs in the house and garden to keep me busy. My son also sent me a parcel yesterday it contained the Roman Blind I made  a few years ago for their kitchen and They had already sent some new fabric. So can I just run them a new one up !! I'll need to put a couple of days aside and get my big sewing machine out. The one I use for my cards is a very small one I bought cheaply at John Lewis and it sits under the desk but I'll need my trusted Bernina machine for this project.

I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy some time to relax.  Hugs Carole x

Wedding Acceptance

Good morning to all my lovely friends and followers and  a big thank you for you kind comments on my 18th Birthday card. You are all aware I am making wedding stationery and  I received the invite I made for the Wedding on the 22nd December just before my holiday .It was weird receiving my own card.
Today I'm posting the acceptance card I've made to send to Rosie's Mum and Dad. To be honest I think this is the first time I've actually made a Wedding Acceptance card.

Its a long time since I've used a Tilda image but I thought this Wedding Tilda was just right.

Card Recipe

6x6 Blank white card Craftwork Cards
Image Wedding Tilda painted with Copic and  Promarker pens sprinkled with Shabby Pink Frantage from Live and  Love Crafts
Paper is Timeless Victorian from LOTV my favourite I bought another pad at the GNPE
Spellbinder Opulent oval die
Photo stamp LOTV Old Romance Background Bits
Silver sequin ribbon from Whitby Crafts
White rose ribbon from Boyes Stores
Butterflies from a Pion cut out sheet from Live and Love Crafts sprinkled with Shabby Pink Frantage and  edged with white gesso
Silver bead string from my stash
Sentiments computer generated
White card and paper distress tool Tim Holtz

Well I hope you are enjoying the week its been freezing here and I'm really feeling the cold after a month in Florida.

I enjoyed the GNPE on Saturday but a bit disappointed with the number of stalls a lot of my favourite stalls weren't there and LOTV only had a small stall compared to usual they normally had two . The new hall is much smaller so I think this restricts the numbers allowed . I got some of the things I wanted but the die I wanted I've had to order on line as One Upon a Stamp was not there his dies are such a good price. On a positive note I got to meet up with Sue one of my lovely followers it was so nice to see her and chat . I also spoke for a while with Ann from LOTV she's is lovely.

Well I'm off to hospital shortly to see the dietician to see how I'm doing with my GF diet then back to catching up on my crafting and the ironing.  Love the crafting hate ironing.!!

Have a great week Love and Hugs Carole

I loved this release and this stamp Time Flies was one of my favourites. I have another first today as well I bought a set of Inktense pencils a couple of weeks ago and  have now coloured two images this is the first to get posted. I have to admit I made a real mess of the skin on my first attempt and that is now well and  truly in the bin!!. They take a bit of getting used to but I have to say I love the finished result. To The Beach

Good afternoon to all my fantastic friends and  followers. A special welcome today to my new follower Christine. Thank you for joining my blog and  I hope you enjoy returning to look at my posts.

I've given myself a short break from the Wedding Stationery and  have been catching up with my own cards. I've been making a few men cards for birthdays and  this is one of them. As its summer I decided to use one of my Michael Powell Beach Huts stamps they never fail me I always love the finished results. As I've used this stamp a couple of times before I've tried some different colours and  design. The papers I picked up at the GNPE on one of the pound stalls they are a Docrafts pad but they look great with this stamp see what you think.

Card Recipe

Banner die La La Land
Card Tim Holtz
Pegs, buttons and twine from my stash

Ticket sentiment stamp Pink Gem Designs

I hope you enjoy this seaside card as men cards are not my favourites to make. Tomorrow I'm actually going to stay at the seaside at my friend's new caravan at South Shields for a couple of days . So it will be a great couple of girlie days with loads and loads of chat over some wine. I hope the weather is kind as she has just had this lovely veranda built perfect for sipping wine in the sunshine. This is the photo she has sent me so I recognise the caravan when I arrive.

It looks pretty swanky for a caravan doesn't it. Has all mod cons so not like the caravans I remember when I went as a child. More tales on my visit later in the week.

Well going now to put the clean sheets on the bed very boring and hopefully do some crafting later.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll be back later in the week with another man card I can almost hear the groans does anyone like doing them ??

Before I go just wanted to say a big thank you for all of you who always take time to comment on my posts you are so lovely and very kind. hugs Carole  x

I hope that you all have a great Easter weekend I've not got a lot planned except a bit of gardening and a hairdressers appointment on Saturday. I don't like the Bank Holidays much as everywhere is always so busy. I also need a hat for a Wedding in May so may try and get an appointment at the hire place I've used before. I'm also trying to get all my commissions done so I can get them out of the way before I need to start the Wedding invitations.
I'm out with my girlfriends tonight so that should be lovely its the first time this year we've all managed to get together. So lots of chat and glasses of wine I think.

This post has taken ages Blogger was really having an off day with my photos !!

Enjoy the weekend and  all that lovely chocolate and  goodies on Easter Sunday.
