Cover Girl and Super Excited

Good afternoon everyone.Today I'm really excited to be sharing this post .Way back in June I was asked to make a Christmas card for All Dressed up Stamps Design Team to be featured in this months Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine 182. Well the magazine was published yesterday and my card features on page 80 and there is also a small photo on the front cover .I couldn't believe it, no mater how small the photo is I would never have thought one of my cards would ever be on a magazine front cover. Its the stuff of crafty dreams.

So after weeks of waiting I can now share my card  with you.

Driving Home for Christmas

Good morning to all my lovely friends and  followers today I'm sharing a card I made recently from a magazine freebie. I don't often buy magazines as I rarely use the free gifts and  sometimes I'm not always interested in the content. However this is the free gift this month from Simply Cards and  Papercraft  that I spotted in Tesco. My design is not all my own I was inspired by a similar design on U Tube using the free gifts . I do like the design and  its a perfect Christmas card for any Chris Rea fans out there.

 Card Recipe

6x6 blank card
Green and  red card card my box
White square embossed at the bottom half with the free embossing folder then I cut a circle in the centre with a Spellbinder circle die.
I them cut a larger circle from the free paper pack of the tree background and  fixed behind
I then cut the tree dies and arranged around the circle
I then cut the car die twice one green and  one red so when you open the car door you see green inside
I stamped the sentiment also from the free gift onto a piece of background paper backed with card.
I added three facet cut dark grey gemstones to the corner.
Everything I used is from the magazine freebie except the card, gemstones and  circle die

This was fun to make and  I think the set will get used I have already used the small trees again on another card I'made but not yet shared. The paper pack is also very good quality.

I hope you all have a great weekend I'm at the hairdressers later today and  tomorrow I'm going to the Create It craft show at Gateshead Stadium so will need to raid the piggy bank for that. If any of you are going please say hello . Love and  hugs Carole x
