Ruby Wedding

Good morning to all my friends and followers. Today's post is a commission. My friend Margaret asked me to make a Ruby Wedding card for her to take to Ireland on Wednesday she is going for the celebrations for her cousins Ruby Wedding on the 17th .

I decided to use a LOTV stamp filigree heart its embossed with cranberry embossing powder and  lightly painted with Copic and  Pro marker pens. I've done this a few times in gold for golden wedding cards but this is the first time I've added colour to the image.

This is the box for the card

My friend is coming over to collect the card this afternoon so I hoping she likes it.

I hope you are all enjoying a great weekend we are busy changing over our Fridge/freezer in the garage so lots of defrosting and storing in our other small chest freezer. It will be worth it though as it has been playing up for a while . So not a very exciting weekend. I will do some crafting this afternoon as hubby will be watching his football team on the telly.

I'm entering this in LOTV monthly challenge Crafty Bingo Top Line Ribbon Pearls Flowers http://ideastoinspire.blogspot.co.uk/p/challenge.html and Crafting by Designs Monthly Challenge Anything Goes http://craftingbydesigns.blogspot.co.uk/

  6. Hi Carole. Stunning Ruby Anniversary card. I love the image stamped with embossing powder. I am so lazy & don't get my powders out as much as I should. The Tattered Lace die is beautiful & so elegant.
Much more special than a shop bought card. I do hope your friend Margaret loved it.
I also had to defrost a freezer on Saturday it ruined my craft plans.

  7. Hi Carole. I've arrived home and I'm just catching up with blog land things as although the hotel had wi fi it was really slow. There had been a conference on and everyone was using it at the same time.
Absolutely beautiful card! I love this stamp but have never thought to use embossing powder with it. Your friend and the recipients of the card will be so thrilled with it as the dies, flowers and the box are just gorgeous. Hope you're having a good week so far. Debra x
