I decided on a Ike's Art image Lenore . I have to say neither the image or the one layer were my favorite things and I struggled with this design concept.and I have to say I;m not perfectly happy with the finished card .
Card Recipe
6x6 card Craftwork cards
Image Lenore Ike's Art coloured with Promarker and Copic Pens
Corner flourish and sentiment are from Prima Fairy belle Collection
Lace is Volcan Viscose Grey lace from Crafty Ribbons
Pearls from my stash
I think I've probable failed in the fact I've added that lace and pearls so its no longer one layer !! I also picked this image in a hurry after I came back from New Zealand and thought the crow was an umbrella !!I'm telling myself its good to try different as an excuse.
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and find time to pop over and enter this challenge I know you are all a whole lot better than me at these one layer cards Hugs Carole x
Ha ha I thought it was a parasol on a first quick look. Well done for giving it a go, I don't think you are meant to add any embellies to a one layer either. The colours are pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Carole, it is not a one layer card, but it is beautiful :o)

ReplyDeleteThink this is beautiful, might not be one layer but that lace is very, very pretty! I struggle with 'lots of layers' cards so I'm trying to do a few of these to work outside my comfort zone! Creative Blessings, Tracy x
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Thank you for your comments on my blog
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of the lace.
The design is perfect.
Have a nice week-end.
Big hugs, Mumur.
Oh my!!!! It may not be one layer but it is far from a failure. Gorgeous is more like it. I missed this one my last visit. Shame on me. The lace on two sides and the corner flourish are just the right accents with the pearls finishing it off. I do very much like the image, which you colored wonderfully. Bravo Carole.
ReplyDeleteLove, Hugs and Blessings
