I used Promarker and Copics as I have yet to find a watercolour card as white as this and wanted a white on white background. I've bought a few different pads but they are always a pale ivory colour if anyone knows of any really good white then please let me know the make.
Well my week started out well yesterday when I met some friends for afternoon tea at Wynyard Hall the weather was perfect for a change and we enjoyed bubbly and tea on the terrace this is the photo the waiter took. It was great to catch up as I'd not seen a couple of my friends since Christmas.
Well I'm going out shortly to start the shopping for the weekend. Fiona and Martin are coming at the weekend so we are having an informal get together for family and friends on Saturday so they can meet Miles. We are both looking forward to having Miles in our home for the first time and seeing all our family and friends.

Oh my! what a very beautiful card, I adore the subtle colouring of the sweet image and all the lovely textures, and gorgeous embellishments.
ReplyDeleteWith regards to the white card I have been using Joanna Sheen's Satin Elegance recently which in my opinion is nice and white, and also lovely and smooth for stamping on. It is also available as paper as well as card. I hope this is useful.

Such a beautiful card Carole! The subtle colouring of the image is just perfect for the card design and your embellishments are lovely. I'm pleased you found a use for my candy. It's a great idea to use some of the things you used on their wedding invites as it's made the card so much more personal to them.
ReplyDeleteBubbly and tea with friends sounds wonderful and you were lucky with the weather. Give Miles a cuddle from me. Did they like the socks? I thought they were so cute with the pom poems on them. Debra x
