Something Different

Good morning to all my lovely friends and followers and a special welcome this morning to my new followers Migdalia, Christa, Astrid, Anet and Bernadet Thank you so much for following my blog I hope you find time to visit often and enjoy my posts.
Well as my title says I'm posting something a little different for me today Those who follow my blog know I go to a craft group on a Thursday morning and a couple of weeks ago we made this card using Mica Powders I was definitely out of my comfort zone but after much mess I finally got there so this is the card.Thought it was quite pretty once I got it finished.

Card Recipe

6x6 Blank Card
Black gloss card
Lavender card
Perfect Medium
Iris Stamp not sure of the make it belongs to my friend Carol who was leading the group that day.
Mica powders pale Green and Lilac.
The glitter border was made using double sided tape and fine lavender glitter
Narrow sentiment is Craftwork cards

Really enjoyed doing this sorry but its not the best photo this glitter and gloss are a bit camera shy !!
In case you really hate mica powders I've finished with a couple of lovely photos of my grandson Miles he's sitting up now on his own and 7 months old how the time flies. He's such a happy little chap adorable.

Have a great week everyone and thank you all so much for all the fabulous comments you have left congratulating me on my new Design Team post and my latest cards. You are all such lovely friends so kind and thoughtful. Love and hugs Carole x

  2. OK, having another of, one of those days where head and hands don't coordinate!

Lovely photos of Miles and very opulent looking card Carol, black and mica are hard to photo at the best of times without this dull weather.

  3. Hi Carole, your card is lovely, despite the difficulty you had catching it on photo. I know from my own experience that anything shiny and/or glittery is difficult to photograph. No such difficulty with your wee grandson ... he's gorgeous :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  4. A beautiful card Carole. I love the pearlescence of the mica powders against the black background and making your own glitter paper is a great idea. Sally.x.
