Never mind the excuses I hope to get to catch up very soon.
I went to the Great North Create Show at Harrogate on Saturday with some craft group friends it was a bit disappointing not that many stalls and not that busy its not the show it used to be. I think I might need to get to one of the bigger shows elsewhere in the country .I even came home with money left in my purse not like me !!
Have a great week everyone and I hope you can take a look at the challenge. Love and  hugs Carole x

Bug time

Good morning to all my lovely friends and  followers well you guessed its Wednesday so the launch of a new challenge over at Crafting by Designs and  our theme for this weeks challenge is Bug Time.

Our sponsor for htis week is

Prize - winner choice of 3 images

Hello! My name is Sarah though I am commonly known by friends and online as Star (thus came Star Stampz!) My nick name derived back from the early days when I first began signing my artwork as Stargirl (and have done so ever since.)

Art has had a big influence on my life and who I am. Though I have dabbled in many styles and types discovering Japanese anime and it's art style is what renewed my vigor to draw. It helps that I'm also a complete geek ~ anime, Japanese culture, books, writing, fantasy, cartoons, music, musicals, etc.

I am not very crafty with paper scrapbooking or putting together beautiful cards and creations but when I discovered the world of digital stamping I was fascinated what others could do with the same art stamp. I have also always been fond of inking pen drawings in my sketchbooks. I have focused a lot on my digital art and other freelance projects but digital stamps is that perfect niche for being creative and getting back line art drawings. I always look forward to see what creations others have turned my stamps into

For my Bug design I decided to use a lovely stamp called Fireflies

Card Recipe

6x6 Blank card
Stamp is Fireflies from Star Stampz painted with Derwent Inktense Pencils
Papers are Tonic Studios Watch The Birdie
Cross stitch die is from eBay
Trim is from Whitby Crafts
Butterfly dies are Joycraft
Pearl string my stash
Sentiment is Lili of the Valley
Small pearls on the stamp my box

I left the bottom of the paper uncovered as I thought the border was so pretty and  it seemed a shame to cover it over.
Well enjoy the week and  I hope you can enter our Bug challenge its  a great excuse to get the bug dies out that you haven't used for a while or maybe never used !! Thanks for all your kind visits to my blog I really appreciate them Love and  hugs Carole x
