My card today is one I've made for a friend who is 70 shortly. I've used one of the LOTV stamps I bought from the last fairy release but had not got round to inking up. I loved this release and this stamp Time Flies was one of my favourites. I have another first today as well I bought a set of Inktense pencils a couple of weeks ago and  have now coloured two images this is the first to get posted. I have to admit I made a real mess of the skin on my first attempt and that is now well and  truly in the bin!!. They take a bit of getting used to but I have to say I love the finished result. I want to thank Becky her tutorials on skin and hair have been so helpful. I do love making this style of card with lots of embellishments.

For a male card I quite enjoyed making this one.

I had a great time at my friends caravan at South Shields on Wednesday/Thursday we walked all along the seafront and to the end of the pier had a nice lunch in a restaurant by the beach and Groyne then ended the day with a Minchella's ice cream tub topped with chocolate flake and  raspberry sauce. Just the best ice cream in the world. It tastes exactly the same as when I was a young child. The caravan is in a great location and  although the weather wasn't brilliant we did sit out on that lovely veranda with wine on Wednesday evening perfect.

Now for some exciting news Kevin one of my followers has had a candy draw running and  also achieved 1000 followers isn't that amazing.  I've won a prize so I'm a really lucky girl today
 thank you Kevin.

I've not got a lot planned for the weekend but am away next week for three days in Chester with my lovely girlfriends and we are meeting with another of our friends on Wednesday who now lives in the Wirral. So looking forward to that.

Enjoy the weekend whatever you have planned looking at the weather here right now I may just be doing some crafting.
Once again thank you all for all the lovely comments left on my Beach Huts post I was thrilled especially as it was a man card!!  Hugs Carole x

To The Beach

Good afternoon to all my fantastic friends and  followers. A special welcome today to my new follower Christine. Thank you for joining my blog and  I hope you enjoy returning to look at my posts.

I've given myself a short break from the Wedding Stationery and  have been catching up with my own cards. I've been making a few men cards for birthdays and  this is one of them. As its summer I decided to use one of my Michael Powell Beach Huts stamps they never fail me I always love the finished results. As I've used this stamp a couple of times before I've tried some different colours and  design. The papers I picked up at the GNPE on one of the pound stalls they are a Docrafts pad but they look great with this stamp see what you think.

Card Recipe

6x6 Kraft card Hobby Craft
Papers Docrafts Ahoy There! from GNPE
Stamp Michael Powell Shore Thing painted with Distress Inks
Banner die La La Land
Card Tim Holtz
Pegs, buttons and twine from my stash
Anchor charm Whitby Crafts
Ticket sentiment stamp Pink Gem Designs

I hope you enjoy this seaside card as men cards are not my favourites to make. Tomorrow I'm actually going to stay at the seaside at my friend's new caravan at South Shields for a couple of days . So it will be a great couple of girlie days with loads and loads of chat over some wine. I hope the weather is kind as she has just had this lovely veranda built perfect for sipping wine in the sunshine. This is the photo she has sent me so I recognise the caravan when I arrive.

It looks pretty swanky for a caravan doesn't it. Has all mod cons so not like the caravans I remember when I went as a child. More tales on my visit later in the week.

Well going now to put the clean sheets on the bed very boring and hopefully do some crafting later.

Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll be back later in the week with another man card I can almost hear the groans does anyone like doing them ??

Before I go just wanted to say a big thank you for all of you who always take time to comment on my posts you are so lovely and very kind. hugs Carole  x
